In a bid to protect businesses and members of the public, Birkenhead’s local police force is taking action to step up security with an updated closed-circuit television (CCTV) system, along with other solutions.
From local authorities to enterprises of all sizes, those considering a CCTV installation in Chester, Birkenhead and other parts of Northern England can count on qualified electrical services for assistances. With a wealth of different devices available on the current market, selecting a suitable solution can be difficult. Certified electricians can assess a firm’s needs and advise on the best option before fitting it onsite to increase security.
Incidents describing theft and drugs and dangerous traffic violations involving motorbikes have been the subjects of countless complaints from constituents in the Birkenhead area. In an investment worth £432,000, areas around Birkenhead, the Wirral and Liverpool will see improvements made to fight crime.
Along with local streetlight improvements in identified roads around Birkenhead, such as Conway Street, Cleveland Street, Hoylake Road and Park Road North, the existing CCTV system will have an overhaul. A total of 10 new CCTV cameras will join the network, offering superior coverage of the locale.
Speaking to the Wirral Globe, Police Commissioner for Merseyside, Emily Spurrell, commented:
“With this funding, we will be able to put some long-term measures in place relatively quickly and easily that will make a genuine difference, helping to rejuvenate these areas and build safer, stronger, healthier communities.”
As part of the new measures being introduced to the area, a further 243 police officers are due to be recruited to serve Merseyside.
