Permission has been granted for a planning application submitted retrospectively by a cricket club in Bradford to fit CCTV cameras.
After several incidents involving anti-social behaviour that resulted in property damage, the Jer Lane Cricket Club, based at Horton Bank Top, set up three individual security cameras on site back in April. Once the measures had been taken, the club retrospectively applied for a permit to do so. Now, the installation has received full approval from Bradford Council.
Issues at the address ranged from nuisances such as youths playing football and riding bikes over the cricket grounds to criminal activity, including drug dealing and consumption, with drug-related materials often discovered onsite.
Planning officers in charge of the operation commented:
“The cameras are all appropriately scaled and sited in such a way as to minimise their prominence within the locality. The cameras are stationary and point into the site, so there is no adverse effect on the privacy of surrounding residential properties.”
Enterprises planning a CCTV installation in Chester, Bradford and other UK cities can depend on qualified electricians to fit equipment correctly. Experienced in the latest devices available, professional electricians can not only fit systems, but can also recommend an ideal product to suit a business’s specific needs.
Modern CCTV cameras can feature high-resolution imaging and infrared night vision capabilities, making them beneficial to firms protecting people and property from crime. While acting as deterrents, such devices also record clearer evidence that can aid police in obtaining successful convictions.
