A warehouse in Yorkshire’s Brighouse is now under lease following a five-year agreement signed by UK household and furniture supplier, Lassic Group.
The operation run from the West Yorkshire warehouse will create 30 new job opportunities for the local area, providing storage space and acting as a nationwide distribution centre for the firm.
Joint Director for Lassic Group, Suresh Handa, commented:
“The move will create around 30 additional jobs at the Brighouse site, taking our overall headcount to 110 across the two locations. This will form a key part of our plan to further grow the business into one of UK’s leading flat pack furniture suppliers.”
The unit, based on the Armytage Road Industrial Estate, has been refurbished extensively to accommodate its new occupants. The onsite offices and warehouse space now have all-new electrical wiring and fire alarm systems, as well as an energy-saving and eco-friendly LED lighting installation.
Enterprises looking to upgrade electrical systems in Chester and Yorkshire can use an industrial electrician for a comprehensive energy audit. These professional tests can show firms operating warehouses and factories the potential savings that can be made by adopting modern solutions.
Other work conducted during the refurbishment of the warehouse included repairs to the roofing, the installation of brand-new roller shutters and a pedestrian access door. The new facility will add to the properties used by the UK supplier, which include the 200,000 square foot warehouse in Bradford, where the firm’s head office is currently located.
