A South Yorkshire industrial park has begun work on a large-scale refurbishment that includes updating electrical systems using more efficient technology.
The Parkway Link industrial estate based in Sheffield, is now undergoing an extensive refit as a part of a new scheme devised by its owner Mileway to bring the site up to date.
The ongoing refurbishment will see four out of nine units based at the location upgraded to deliver a more modern standard of warehouse space designed specifically for storage, industrial and trade purposes. New LED lighting systems will be installed within the units, providing a more eco-friendly and cost-effective option than neon or fluorescent lights. Businesses considering such electrical installations in Chester or Sheffield should always consult qualified contractors first for expert advice.
The newly renovated units that are being marketed by Knight Frank are well situated onsite, just off Sheffield Parkway.
Head of Knight Frank’s industrial team for Yorkshire Rebecca Schofield commented:
“During the last few years, we have seen an increasing number of landlords invest in upgrading commercial estates to a high standard to fulfil the ongoing requirements for industrial property within the region. The extensive refurbishment includes overclad roofs, new clad elevations, full internal decoration… refurbished offices and WCs.”
Schofield added that Yorkshire has a current shortage of large industrial units like those based at Parkway and stated that when the united are completed, the agents anticipated a high level of interest due to the high quality of units and their sought-after location.
