Dedicated firefighters fought to quell a fire that erupted recently within a commercial building in Greater Manchester’s Ashton-under-Lyne. The size and scope of the fire required the crews in attendance to work through the night in a battle that lasted multiple hours.

Units from several stations based around the area, including Chadderton, Mosley, Hyde, Hollins, Ashton-under Lyne and Stalybridge were dispatched and worked together on site. After a pitched battle lasting five hours, the crews extinguished the flames and then dampened down the impacted areas, ensuring it was entirely safe.
