A harbour based in New Forest has been nominated for Marina of the Year following a redevelopment worth £2 million, involving an overhaul of the site’s electrical services, among other work.
Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour, based in the Beaulieu River, has now received a nomination in the 2020 British Yachting Awards. The news comes as work begins on the second phase of the site’s extensive update.
Managing Director for Beaulieu Enterprises, Russell Bowman, expressed the firm’s excitement at being nominated:
“They are the only sailing awards voted for entirely by sailors themselves, and we’re delighted to have been recognised for our commitment to improving facilities and providing a friendly service that goes above and beyond.”
The marina has already received great praise since completion of the project’s first phase, which featured an enhanced visitor area, increased pontoons and improved electrical services.
Enterprises around the UK in locations like the New Forest and Chester can use a commercial electrician with the correct credentials for electrical upgrades onsite. Experienced and fully qualified, professional electricians have the skills and certification to tackle any task required.
Phase one of the project also featured the creation of over 30 brand-new berths. Many of these berths have already been secured by yacht owners, and the harbour has released further reservations for another 35 that will become available in spring next year. In addition, 2021 is an important year for the marina for more than one reason, as it marks the golden anniversary for Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour, which will be celebrating 50 successful years.
