Boodles, a boutique store selling exclusive jewellery, has commissioned plans for an all-new secure entrance to bolster its security.
The high-end outlet located on Sloane Street in Knightsbridge required the entrance designs to not only cope with extreme security demands, but also to present an attractive storefront to its elite clientele. Due to the opulence of the area in which Boodles is situated, plans also needed to merge seamlessly with nearby shopfronts to avoid spoiling its style.
Commercial enterprises planning a security system installation in Chester, a city that also has preservation regulations due to its Roman heritage, should ensure expert advice is consulted beforehand. Once installed, all systems should be maintained routinely by a certified electrician to ensure they are functioning at peak performance.
Boodles’ new entrance is constructed completely from stainless-steel and comprises two separate doors that feature automatic sliding. Powered by iMotion 2302 operation from TORMAX, the doors work together, creating an aesthetically pleasing lobby for customers.
Managing director for the upscale boutique, Michael Wainwright, commented on the new access point for the premises:
“Not only does it make the shop far more secure, it enhances the luxurious ambience of the boutique. The fortified shopfront has given us total reassurance that our stock – and more importantly our staff – are now far safer than ever before.”
The airlock-style solution offers an impregnable level of security able to stand up against even the most tenacious attacks. The solution employs security glass officially certified to Loss Prevention Standard (LPS) 12070 1, 2,3 and a state-of-the-art interlocking system to provide equipment secured to the LPS 1175 SR3.
